Bespoke CRM for small businesses

Here at Nodal, we build bespoke CRM systems for small businesses. Each one is built around the way your business already works, from the first enquiry to the final invoice, and your whole team can use it with no per-user fees.

We're based in Preston, Lancashire, and we work with businesses of all kinds, from trades and dealers to clinics, studios and hire companies.

What is a bespoke CRM?

A CRM (customer relationship management system) is where you keep track of your enquiries, customers, quotes and jobs. Most businesses start with off-the-shelf software, a spreadsheet or a busy inbox.

A bespoke CRM is one we build for your business alone. It has your stages, your fields and your paperwork, so your team uses it the way they already work instead of changing how they work to fit the software.

When a bespoke CRM makes sense

If a ready-made CRM suits the way you work, we'll tell you. We'd rather you spent your money on the right thing.

What we build into it

Your own pipeline

Stages that match how you work, such as enquiry, quote, job and invoice, so you can see where every customer is at a glance.

Enquiries straight from your website

We build your website and CRM together, so every enquiry arrives in the CRM with the details you need, and nothing gets lost in an inbox.

Quotes, jobs and invoices

Keep track of what's been quoted, what's been won, what's booked in and what's been paid.

Reminders and follow-ups

The CRM reminds you when a quote needs chasing or a customer is waiting to hear back.

Phone, email and WhatsApp

Calls and messages are logged against the right customer, without anyone typing them in.

Your existing records

We import your spreadsheets and contacts, so you start with your customers already in place.

How much does a bespoke CRM cost?

Our website and CRM package starts from £5,000 to build, then from £200 a month for hosting, security updates, daily backups and small changes. There are no per-user fees.

We expect most projects to come in around that price. If yours needs more, such as links to your accounts software or a large data import, you'll get a fixed quote once we've talked it through, before any work starts. See our pricing.

How it works

  1. Request a call. Tell us a little about your business and we'll reply the same day.
  2. We talk it through. We'll email you a time for a call within two working days, and show you how a system could work for you.
  3. You get a fixed quote. If it looks like a good fit, we'll send you a fixed price before any work starts.
  4. The planning day. We spend a day in your business, or on a video call, mapping how everything runs.
  5. We build it. Four to eight weeks, and you can follow progress in your customer portal.
  6. You go live. We bring your records across, show your team how it works and look after it from then on.

You're never locked in

Once the build is paid for, the website and CRM we make are yours, and your domain stays in your name. Your data is always yours too, and you can ask for a full copy at any time. If you ever decide to leave, we'll hand everything over.

Common questions

How long does a bespoke CRM take to build?

Four to eight weeks from the planning day, depending on how complex your business is. You can follow progress at every step in your customer portal.

Can you bring in my spreadsheets and contacts?

Yes. We can import customer lists, job records and stock lists from spreadsheets, so your customers and history are there from the first day.

Can it connect to my phone system, email and WhatsApp?

Yes. We can connect most business phone systems, your email inbox and WhatsApp Business, so calls and messages are logged against the right customer. Some providers charge for this, so we check yours first and include any cost in your fixed quote.

Who owns the CRM?

You do. Once the build is paid for, the CRM is yours, and your customer data is always yours. If you ever decide to leave, we'll hand everything over.
